Overview
VHS Movie Night is a movie and television recommendation web app operated under the VHS Movie Night brand. This policy explains the information processed when you browse the app, create an account, or subscribe. VHS Movie Night does not stream or rent entertainment titles.
Information we process
For registered accounts, we process your email address, account identifier, authentication and recovery information, membership status, and daily spin totals. Payment processor records may include Stripe customer and subscription IDs, payment status, and billing history. We do not receive or store your full card number. Our hosting and security providers may process technical information, including network and device data, to deliver and protect the service. Recent selections or preferences may be kept in your browser where those features are enabled.
Purposes
We use information to authenticate users, send verification and password-recovery messages, enforce spin limits, process and manage subscriptions, provide support, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and comply with applicable legal requirements.
Service providers
We use Supabase for accounts and database records, Stripe for payments and subscription management, Resend for transactional authentication emails, and Cloudflare for hosting, security, and incoming support-email forwarding. These providers process relevant information to deliver their services under their own applicable terms and privacy notices.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell customer personal information to advertisers. We share information with service providers as necessary to operate VHS Movie Night, or when required by law. We keep account, usage, and transaction records for as long as reasonably needed for operations, security, support, and applicable accounting or legal requirements. Deleting an account may not immediately erase records that we must retain.
Your choices
You may request information about, correction of, or deletion of eligible account data by contacting [email protected]. You may manage or cancel your subscription in the app using Account → Manage Billing. You can change your password using the recovery process.
Age and security
The service is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. We use reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
